I’m a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner and mBIT master coach (where neuroscience backs up ancient wisdoms). I’m also an acting coach who specialises in The Meisner Technique, a training tool which is specifically about getting out of your head and becoming less self conscious. However, it’s not just relevant to actors. At the heart of what I do is create a space for you as a human to explore what makes you human, what makes you, you. Many of us go through each day not fully knowing why we do what we do or even what it is that we do and therefore not realising the importance of that knowing.
I would love to spend some intensive and immersive time with you so I can share a plethora of really powerful tools and guide you through the process thoroughly enough so they are a part of you once you leave. |
Meet Steph who will be guiding youI have spent most of my life swinging from a high state of stress to that deep and numbing crash. I always put it down to "well, this is just who I am". Maybe you’re familiar with it too.
Over the last few years I have been learning how to do things differently and I know all of this learning is making me a better mother, wife, friend to myself and others, business owner, coach and human in this world. As a mother of two small humans and owner of three businesses I now have strategies and tools in place to stop myself from tipping into the extremes. Something I never thought would be possible. We are all stressing differently, some of us do our stressing internally so much so that others haven't even noticed. Others are very physical with it by doing, doing, doing. When I’m stressing and/or burnt out these are some of the things I need: 🌱 Being somewhere else 🌱 Understanding of what’s going on in me 🌱 Holding - sometimes physically, sometimes metaphorically 🌱 Space & Quietness 🌱 Connection 🌱 To slow down 🌱 To breathe 🌱 Rest and calm 🌱 Something to do that doesn’t involve a To Do List. 🌱 A way of refocusing 🌱 A way of releasing and letting go 🌱 Less external input 🌱 Recalibration It’s hard to tell you how this retreat will go, because I will design everything I do with you based on who is in the room and what you all need in that moment. What I will do is provide different ways of doing all of the above using all the tools I have. |
When we are stressing and burnt out, everything around us suffers, our health, our relationships, our partnerships, our work, our focus, our ability to make decisions, our entire world is affected by it.
So let’s slow down enough to change the ending.
So let’s slow down enough to change the ending.
What is Stress?
Stress is something we do. It’s our response to a perceived threat. It’s when our body is squeezing and gripping so tightly the essential messages are prevented from getting to where they need to go. Our brain might become foggy, concentration might be hard. Our belly, heart and head might feel tight or knotty. Sleep will be affected. Our skin. Our emotions. Our vital organ function. Our thoughts. Everything is affected by how much we are stressing. Medical research estimates as much as 90% of illness and disease is stress-related. |
What is Burnout?
Burnout happens when your body has been in a high state of stress (fight or flight) for too long. We are not designed to be in survival mode as much as we are, it’s an important response designed to happen in real moments of danger. However these days all it takes is the phone pinging for our body to be flooded with the stress hormone, cortisol. Too much cortisol leads to:

A few words from people who have been here...
It's worth it for the experience, memories and connections alone… I think that's worth it's weight in gold in this new age of technology over stimulus and disconnect.
- I'm taking away a load more clarity and trust in myself. - The way Steph works is beautiful and free, intimate, kind, raw, valuable, honest, imperfect, flexiblity in trust, in faith, in hope - and I say imperfect in the most amazing and real way - in a way that allows us to really and truly "do the work" and celecrate the imperfect and wonder in us all, as messy, brilliant, brilliantly messy human beings. - A reset. Space to focus on what I wanted and what actions to take. |
Switch off from the world.
- There is a reason I keep coming back to this place and a reason I keep coming back to work with Steph. It feels like home. It's somewhere to breathe, to be yourself without fear. Steph allows so much space for your to explore the person you are and provides so much kindness and love that it's impossible not to reciprocate that. - I'm taking away tools to help me understand and cope with my mood, wonderful memories, beautiful souls to keep in touch with, routine, choice, self understanding, self worth, choice making for myself is important and a life coach to contact in the future. - Do it! I would tell them to go with an open mind and embrace it and that everything that happens on the course is for a reason and to trust it. |
It has given me a sense of connection with others and has made me realise my self worth.
- I'm taking away the will to focus on me and to do what's right for me. Some tools to help me on my journey to be more assertive. - The Retreat is very well organised, carefully covering things which link from day to the next. Facilities are great. The people are so friendly and compassionate, with your best interests at their heart. - One of the most powerful and empowering experiences of my life. Surrounded by stunning Welsh nature, it was a safe place to grow with the most beautiful group of people you could imagine. I would recommend this to anyone. |
Is this therapy?Nope. I am not a therapist, I am a coach.
We’ll be working with your present and where you want to go and not focussing on your past. It’s likely your past has already had a lot of attention, be it in your head and/or in a therapist's room. This tends to give your past more power than it needs. I am not here to undermine your story, you are you because of your past and we certainly won't be shoving it under the carpet either - but it is time to take the reigns and determine where we go from here. |
Why group coaching?Firstly, people are inspirational if you let them be and secondly holding space with and for others gives us the space to reflect on ourselves. The more we listen, the better we get at listening. The more we reflect, the deeper our learning and richer the change.
I'm also very collaborative, I don't believe I have all the answers. Sure I have a wealth of tools to share with you but we are better together and X amount of heads are definitely better than one! |

Your home for the weekThe site is cosy and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed finding ways to give you as many adaptable options as possible to help you come together as a group whilst offering you little spaces of solitude and spaces to breathe.
There are 3 en suites bedrooms, each with bunking for 4 people and each bed with it's own curtain, shelf, plug socket and light. Plus we've built stairs instead of ladders. We understand sharing accommodation can feel daunting to some people so we’ve put lots of thought into how we can make it as comfortable as possible to give you ease of mind. |
Please bear in mind that our retreats can open up some big questions and the challenge of engaging with our minds, our habits and how we show up in the world. Although it is a very supportive environment, we cannot offer any therapeutic help, so if you’re currently experiencing mental health difficulties or any other strong or upsetting states of mind, please consider if a retreat is right for you at present and whether there are other supports you need in your life.
If you’re unsure, please email or call us directly before booking.
